Oraganization is the KEY! There is this thing called digital divide. Digital Divide is defined as not everyone has access to the internet. If they do have access they may not necessarily know how to utilize it properly, and including the generational gap--younger people are more likely to utilize the internet than older people. So I have come up with solutions to help with the digital divide in collecting information from family members.

The journey continues to reach out to family members...I thought the website would be a good approach to reaching out to family members. That way they can always have access to the forms and keep abreast on the latest information.

First Day on The Job

So I want to help organize my family's foundation located in Marengo County, Alabama. The problem is we are having trouble gathering information as well as contacting family members. The Rodgers's family is so huge that this is NOT a one person's job. We are trying to collect information to build a family tree as well as organize a family foundation. We are starting with my great, great grandfather Sumpter Wilton Rodgers born in 1887 (100 years before I was born). From my great great grandfather to me is 5 generations through my maternal side of the family.
Goals

• Establish an effective way to get all of the family's contact and family information Organize a database by the relationship to Sumpter Rodgers (child, grand child, great grand child, and great, great grand child) 
• Create a website where those we who have access to the internet can digitally fill out forms I'm excited about this endeavor and stay tuned....
